Gernot Abl
Chairman, LLB, BCom (Accounting and Finance), Hons(Finance)
Mr Abl has a background in law, corporate finance, and strategic consulting and has more than 20 years of entrepreneurial, business strategy, and investment experience. Mr Abl has worked with many early-stage businesses, across industries, to help commercialise, grow, and increase the value of the business for all stakeholders.
Mr Abl has a degree in Law and Commerce with Hons in Finance and Accounting from the University of Western Australia.
Mr Abl was appointed to the board on 21 August 2024. Mr Abl is currently also Chairman at Nelson Resources (ASX: NES) and DorsaVi (ASX: DVL).
Marcus Harden
Non-Executive Director
Marcus is a highly experienced geologist with extensive exploration and management experience throughout Africa, Australia, Asia and the Americas, with a track record of discovery across multiple projects. He has held senior roles with First Quantum Minerals Ltd, Gryphon Minerals Ltd, Bellevue Gold Ltd and Alicanto Minerals Ltd. He is currently President of TSX-V-listed Gladiator Metals Corp. and a founding Non-Executive Director of ASX-listed Many Peaks Minerals Ltd. He is also a co-founder of Saudi-focused DesertEx.
Stephen McIntosh
Non-Executive Director
Mr McIntosh brings more than 39 years of global experience in the resources sector, including 33 years with the Rio Tinto Group. He served as Rio Tinto’s global Head of Exploration for five years and then as Group Executive, Growth & Innovation for a further five years, accountable for most of the Group’s global technical functions, including exploration, studies, construction, technical services, data science, automation, R&D and IT. As part of this role, he chaired the Group’s Ore Reserve Steering Committee, with oversight of all external resources and reserves reporting globally.
Mr McIntosh is presently a senior adviser to resources private equity firm EMR Capital and to Chalice Mining (ASX: CHN) in relation to the Gonneville project. He chaired Datarock Holdings, a computer vision AI/ML start-up focused on the resources sector, until January 2026, when it was acquired by IMDEX. He currently provides strategic advice to Andina Copper (TSX-V: ANDC), Cobra Resources (LSE: COBR), IMDEX (ASX: IMD), Genesis Minerals (ASX: GMD) and Rio Tinto (ASX: RIO).
Tony Manini

Johan Van Vuuren
Strategic Adviser
11+ years in KSA with senior leadership roles at state-affiliated miner Maaden and the Saudi sovereign wealth fund. Experience across government, industry and Gulf sovereign wealth funds; joint ventures and strategic investments in the Middle East.
Dr Paul Kitto
Director, BSc (Hons), PhD, Dip Ed
Dr Kitto has over thirty years’ experience working within the mining industry having served on a number of ASX Boards and holding senior level management positions around the world.
Most recently Dr Kitto was Exploration Manager, Africa for Newcrest Mining Ltd and prior to that, was Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of ASX listed Ampella Mining Ltd from 2008 until 2014, when Ampella was acquired by LSE/TSX listed Centamin PLC.
Throughout his career, Dr Kitto has led or been part of exploration teams that have discovered numerous multi-million ounce gold deposits in Africa, Australia and Papua New Guinea. Dr Kitto has extensive experience associated with a wide range of deposit types, predominantly associated with gold and base metal deposits.
Dr Kitto was appointed to the Board on 20 September 2021. He is also a Director of ASX listed companies Tietto Minerals Limited and Meteoric Resources NL.
Justin Mouchacca
Company Secretary
Mr Mouchacca was appointed as Company Secretary of Peako in March 2023. He is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia with over 15 years’ experience in public company responsibilities including statutory, corporate governance and financial reporting requirements. Since July 2019, Mr Mouchacca has been principal of JM Corporate Services and has been appointed Company Secretary and Financial Officer for a number of entities listed on the ASX and unlisted public companies.
